Wollerton Old Hall is an exquisite English shrub rose bred by David Austin in 2003 and introduced by Austin Roses in 2011. Also known as AUSblanket, this rose is named after the famous Wollerton Old Hall Garden in England, a private garden renowned for its breathtaking plant compositions and classic English roses.

This variety grows to a height of 130–150 cm with a width of 100–150 cm, making it a compact yet lush shrub rose. Its blooms are 8–10 cm in diameter, initially appearing as a rich apricot hue before gradually softening into a creamy, pale yellow as they mature. The flowers have a charming, rounded shape and exude an intensely rich, musky fragrance, one of the strongest among David Austin roses.

The blooms are remarkably long-lasting, maintaining their pristine condition without fading. Even after rainfall, they remain fresh, with only occasional red speckles appearing on the petals. If left unpruned for extended periods, the flowers can resemble scattered pieces of lace adorning the branches.

From spring to late autumn, Wollerton Old Hall blooms profusely, covering the entire plant with an abundance of flowers. It is known for its excellent repeat-flowering ability, ensuring a constant display throughout the growing season.

This shrub has an upright and densely branched growth habit, but it can be prone to black spot and is somewhat susceptible to mildew in humid conditions. Proper care and maintenance will help it thrive in gardens.
