Jude the Obscure, developed by David Austin in 1989 and introduced in 1995, is also known as “Tawny Gold.” It is a rose variety that grows to a height of 120 cm and produces flowers with a diameter of about 10 cm. The flowers are a soft yellow color, with a pale greenish center. The shape of the flowers is rounded and somewhat globular, with a refined elegance, reminiscent of fine china. In addition, it has a lovely fragrance, which combines hints of tea and myrrh.
This variety is resistant to rain but requires protection from wet conditions. It is particularly notable for its ability to change color depending on the weather: in cooler temperatures, the flowers appear creamy, while in warm weather, they become yellow.
