The Iroha rose is a part of Japan’s Yuzen series, and it represents the first variation of this series, introduced by the breeder. This rose grows to a height of approximately 120 cm, with blooms measuring about 9 cm in diameter. The flowers are deep pink in color, with a blend of soft pink and light peach tones towards the center, with some petals fading to a lighter color at the edges. The rose’s blooms are characterized by wavy petals.
One distinct feature of the Iroha rose is that after its blooms fade, it loses much of its fragrance, which is typically a gentle floral note. The fragrance completely disappears after a certain period, which is different from many other roses in the Yuzen series, which tend to have a more lasting fragrance.
